Da nang’s hotels raise room prices before firework festival
The international firework festival (April 29-30) is coming, but
many tourists cannot book rooms in Da nang because of room shortage and the
prices have pushed up by 2-3 times.
Two weeks before the event, Ms. Lan from Hanoi called a hotel near My Khe beach
and was informed that the lowest price was VND1.5 million ($72) per room during
the festival, which is double the normal price.

The 2012 Hue Festival wrapped up on April 15 with impressive
cultural performances by artists from Việt Nam and countries from five
continents around the world.

On 10th Apr., the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT)
held a discussion on “project for strengthening to attract French tourists to
Viet Nam” which was studied by Travel Department. The event had the attendance
of VNAT’s leaders and representatives of functional units.

Cooperation to establish Vietnam Tourism Representative Office in Japan
On 8th April 2012, a memorandum of understanding signing ceremony
aiming to prepare for the establishment of a Vietnam Tourism Representative
Office in Japan was held at Hue City. The memorandum was signed by the
Preparation Committees for the Establishment of Vietnam Tourism Representative
Office in Japan of Viet Nam and Japan.

Free tickets to Ha Long Bay during holidays
Entry to Ha Long Bay in the northern province of Quang Ninh will
be free to all visitors from April 28 to May 1, as a way of saying thank you to
visitors for voting the Bay as one of the Seven New Wonders of the World.
