Da Lat wild sunflowers in bloom

This is a perfect time of year for tourists to come to the Central Highlands city of Da Lat to admire the blooming season of wild sunflowers.
Da Lat has entered its dry season and weather has got cooler, creating a natural condition for dark yellow wild sunflowers to bloom. The hilly resort city has a couple of beautiful paths lined with wild sunflower plants.
Some people say that Da Lat is no longer romantic without wild sunflowers which have thin petals and grow well in cold weather.
The best time to see the flower is early morning when Da Lat gets the first sunlight and dew is still found on leaves and petals. The afternoon between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. is also good to watch this flower. Travelers are advised to ride motorbikes to small roads and winding mountain passes to view such flowers.
Some recommended routes for tourists are Da Lat-Van Thanh Flower Village-Ta Nung-Voi Waterfalls-Langbiang; Trai Mat-Cau Dat (in Xuan Truong District) which is 30km from central Da Lat City; Da Lat -Lien Khuong (strolling on National Highway 20)-Nam Ban-Ta Nung-Da Lat; Da Lat-Cau Dat-D’ran-Don Duong-Chau Son-Fi Nuristsom-Tu Tra.
