Heritage, spiritual tour of central province launched

Saigontourist has launched a tour called Heritage and Spiritual Journey to the central province of Quang Tri.
The province is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, exotic culture, spiritual values, and friendly people. It is also famous for a multitude of war-related historical sites that attract great numbers of local and foreign tourists such as Hien Luong Bridge, Vinh Moc tunnels, McNamara Line (electric fence), ancient citadel, Ta Con Airport, and Lao Bao Prison.
Travellers from HCM City will land in Hue City, visit the Imperial Citadel and enjoy Hue specialties before going to the neighbouring Quang Tri Province.
On the first day in Quang Tri they will visit the ancient citadel built in 1827 by King Minh Mang. After 81 days and nights of fierce fighting there in the summer of 1972, the citadel became known around the world.
On the second day tourists will explore Con Co Island in the morning, learning the long and interesting history of the small island where many war-related objects are exhibited.
Visitors can enjoy swimming in the beach or dive to explore coral reefs.
On the third day they will visit the Demilitarised Zone and Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery.
After lunch they will visit Dong Ha City before returning to HCM City.
